What is your blended heritage?
I am Ukrainian, Jewish and Azeri.
Where are your mother and father from?
My both parents were born in Ukraine. My grandma was born in Azerbaijan. My grandpa is courageous patriotic Ukrainian. My great-grandmother was Jewish.
What do you love the most of your blended heritage?
My blended heritage gave a variety of different cultures, and I took the best of each. The most I love the loyalty and the value of family.
What is your response when people ask, “What are you?”
I consider myself as Ukrainian.
What was your experience as a blended kid?
I was blessed growing up in a household that spoke two languages, ate foods from the Russian and Ukrainian cultures.
What were you family dinners like?
Oh they were great. I really like the preparations before dinner. Firstly we were doing grocery shopping, then making dishes and when everything was ready we all dressed up and joined our dinner. My favorite dish is Russian Salad made with carrots, potatoes, bologna, green peas, pickles and mayo. This salad I will make forever.

Take the best from your heritage and don’t be shy! Be proud of who you are.
